Should I Get the COVID-19 Vaccine?

Updated: Apr 16, 2021

The speech by those promoting the use of mRNA vaccines to the general public is that; "the mRNA within the vaccine does not enter the nucleus", "the mRNA is simply a set of instructions for the immune cells", "the mRNA instructs the cells to create a harmless piece of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, and "once the mRNA has given instructions it is swept away by natural processes within the body".

These statements are faulty in that;

  1. By their statements, mRNA instructs the immune cells to create a replica of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein.

  2. How can ones body and DNA structure not be affected when it is widely known that proteins are the building blocks of cells?

  3. Also, this statement is rendered by reason to be deficient because the SARS-CoV-2 has many mutations which has changed its structure. Further, scientists expect more (mutations) to come, and Allah knows best. It is unknown if the current vaccines approved in the West are "effective" against the current mutations.

2. By their statements, the purpose of mRNA is to instruct the immune cells to make a harmless replica of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein.

a. SARS-CoV-2 is called the "novel" because of the "newness" of its structure.

Mankind has never experienced a viral protein with such a structure before. Additionally, SARS-CoV-2 has caused millions of deaths around the world. Sars-CoV-2 spike protein (further a synthetically created one) cannot be possibly be deemed harmless as they state.

b. Instructing the body to create a replica of protein structure that is the first of its kind, using a synthetic material that has never been approved for use prior to this time (mRNA), is irresponsible, dangerous, and ignorant.

and finally,

3. By their statements, the mRNA never enters the nucleus of the cells therefore does have the ability of gene editing.

a. Though mRNA (by their words) never reaches the nucleus of the cell and therefore does

does not change our genetic code, this does not mean that the genetic code will not be

altered as a result of the instructions given by the mRNA.

i. The fact that mRNA (by their words) does not reach the nucleus of the cell does not

mean that the genetic code will not be affected. By their words mRNA instructs the

body to create a spike protein. It is scientifically established that; "Protein architecture is the key to gene function." In essence, just because they claim that mRNA may waste away and is unable to alter gene function, that speaks nothing to the products (proteins) that have now been made by the immune system.

a. To this, proponents have presented their evidences that the body will notice

spike protein as an "invader" and will develop an immune response to it.

However, this idea is deficient as;

-Efficient immune responses to this type of therapy will only be mounted by a competently functioning immune system. This points

two contradictions in their reasonings: 1) Those with competently functioning immune systems

are mainly unaffected or asymptomatic i.e., children and young adults.

Yet, Pfizer-BioNTech recommends that individuals 16 years or older get

their vaccine. 2) Those who are immuno-compromised are not eligible for the vaccines despite their high-risk of contracting COVID-19.

b. Those who take the vaccines yet their bodies do not mount the intended

response there are a few questions that must be raised; 1) Where did the

introduced spike protein go? Did it enter the cells? How (i.e., through which receptor(s)?) 2) What are the long term implications of cellular entry of this new protein?

It is no doubt, that mRNA vaccines have been missing the mark on their intended therapeutic effects. This can be evidenced in the many new reports of people who have received both does of the vaccines testing positive for COVID-19.

Thus, as I mentioned; the mRNA vaccines should be deemed (at the very least) a "doubtful" matter by Ahlus Sunnah as we could be guilty of oppressing ourselves and our future generations. The evil consequence of the Muslims defiance against Allah's laws can be widely evidenced by current societal ills. Once such example is that of image making;

Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Every image maker will be in Hellfire. Every image he made will be given a soul and will punish him in Hell.”

Ibn Abbas said, “If you must do so, make pictures of trees or whatever does not have a soul.”

It is unfortunate that many of the Ummah boldly participates in image making through video making, posting images on social media, and the like. Sometimes this is done even under the guise of "giving dawah" etc.

However, look at the evil consequences of its affect- we now have the emergence of what is called; "deep-fake" videos which has the ability to take the likeness (physical characteristics and speech) over another person in a convincing display. There is a global alarm on how to control this emerging issue as it can lead to defamation, increased slander, and falsehood that can lead to misinformation campaigns targeted towards governments. This is fitna that has the ability to distort reality. Just as I believe mRNA vaccines can do, and Allah knows best. I warn you my dear brothers and sisters from taking part in opening this door to evil.
