Elderberry & Turmeric are two herbs known for their positive effects on the immune system.

Elderberry is indigenous to North Africa, North America, western and central Asia, and Europe.  This aromatic plant has a sweet, flavorful taste making it a perfect medicine for children.

Traditionally it has been used for the treatment of fever and chills, and as an expectorant for mild inflammation of the respiratory tract.  Its best used at the first sign of a cold. In folk medicine (medicine that isn't supported by scientific data) it has been used to treat constipation, diabetes, diarrhea, dry skin, headaches, and rheumatism.

There are no known contraindications for Elderberry and the herb is Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) by the FDA.

Turmeric is grown throughout the China, India, Indonesia, Thailand, and tropical regions of Africa (among other places).

This warm tasting aromatic herb is a staple in Indian cuisine and often paired with pepper to increase its absorption by the body (so I highly recommend eating peppery foods when taking this product.)

Turmeric has many beneficial actions brought on by its main constituent; curcumin.  These actions include;

Anti-inflammatory activity
Activity against ulcers and;
Dyspepsia (Indigestion)

It is not advisable to use Turmeric if you have hypersensitivity to the herb or have gallstones.  There hasn't been enough research performed on how medicinal dosages of Turmeric does in pregnant, breastfeeding, and young populations so one should proceed with caution.

~Divine Ayat's Elderberry & Turmeric Extract~

This blend is full of contrasts; as Elderberry is a cool, dry herb while Turmeric is warm and dry.  I've found that the right energetic contrasts in herbal blends make for a delightful play in the body as they work synergetically to stimulate the correct system and in this case it is the immune system.

Elderberry works in many systems including the nervous system (and can be used to treat nerve pain) while Turmeric works in the digestive system.  And so, I prepared this blend to stimulate the gut/brain axis by providing it with all of Elderberry's antioxidants for the Central Nervous System and Turmeric's digestive benefits allowing the body to fight the spread of dis-ease in the body allowing for quick recovery.
